Due to popular demand, the British Council is planning to launch English classes in the North from January 2014.

Aimed primarily at young learners aged from 5-17 years, classes will take place on Saturdays at Grand Baie La Croisette shopping centre.

Parents can find out more at an open day on Saturday 14 December at Grand Baie La Croisette. There will be games and activities for children. Free placements tests are also offered to establish a child’s level of English. New customers will also benefit from discount vouchers.

‘We are delighted to be able to meet the demand for English classes in the North’,

says Dawn Long, Director of the British Council. ‘Our courses for primary and secondary students are designed with clear learning outcomes in mind and develop the four skills (reading, listening, speaking and writing) through meaningful task-based activities. We hope that parents will take advantage of the open day to find out more about our approach to teaching English and to meet our teachers.’
