Rose Hill, Mauritius, 8 February 2024 - British Council has today launched IELTS for UKVI at its official test centres in Mauritius. Test takers in Mauritius, now have access to IELTS for UKVI Academic and General Training and IELTS for UKVI Life Skills which are approved Secure English Language Tests (SELT) by the UK Home Office for visa applications to the UK.
UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) is a division of the Home Office responsible for the United Kingdom's visa system.
If you are looking to work or study in the UK, you may need to apply for a UK Visa and demonstrate that you have met the required level of English by taking a Home Office approved Secure English Language Test (SELT), such as IELTS for UKVI (Academic and General Training) or IELTS for UKVI Life Skills.
IELTS for UKVI - Academic and General Training are suitable for you if you’re applying for the Innovator, Start-up, Skilled Worker (formerly known as Tier 2 General work visa), Minister of Religion (T2) or Student visa.
IELTS for UKVI tests are designed to meet specific administrative requirements outlined by the UK Home Office and are taken at a UKVI approved test centre.
